We were very lucky and got hold of a semi-derelict house in South London last year, a blank canvas if you like that kind of thing; there's an awful lot of room, but my goodness have we got a lot of work to do. These photos are from when we moved in four months ago, we've since put in a temporary kitchen and bathroom, had the place re-wired and re-plumbed and tidied up as best we can. We don't have the money to do the whole place in one huge blitz (it would take a lot), so we’re trying to do it a bit at a time. Currently I'm looking at secondary glazing versus replacement windows at the front of the house - traffic noise is a problem, any advice would be welcome. After that I have to put in central heating and install a new bathroom and kitchen - someone should do a calculation on how many tiny decisions that will entail! Wish me luck!
